Client: Ted Lasso
How we used our vast network to produce an array of quality promotional products within budget, on a tight deadline, during a global pandemic.
Summary:
We were approached by an award-winning agency known for developing buzz around new products in the entertainment industry. In this case, they were promoting Ted Lasso Season 2. Ted Lasso is an Emmy-winning television series with a strong fan base. The main theme of the show can be summed up in one word, “Believe”. With the second season about to launch, three pop-up events were planned around Los Angeles to get the word out. Our job was to produce fun and memorable give-away items to engage existing fans and encourage even greater viewership for the new season.
Challenge:
With season two about to launch, our challenge was time. The agency sent us a deck of ideas for swag items, however, it just wasn’t possible to produce and deliver some of the selected items within the time constraints. This required thinking outside our normal supply chains to find comparable replacements for the client.
Solution:
We believed in our team. This started the process of bouncing ideas back and forth between us, our client, and our vast network of production partners. The process was ever-evolving and the brainstorming didn’t stop until together we had curated a solid collection of quality items that were perfect for both the target demographic and the Ted Lasso brand. The time frame on some of the items was so tight, we arranged a courier service so they could be produced and delivered on the same day.
The largest of the events was at the Banc of California Stadium, home of the LAFC
(Los Angeles Football Club) where attendees were given “Believe” RALLY TOWELS and FLAGS upon admission. The Jumbotron images below illustrate
what a hit they were with the fans. We were honored to be part of such an inspirational project.
The other two events had stations set up with a multitude of promo items. Fans were encouraged to walk between the different stations and collect the items to take home. For these two events, we produced MAGNETIC BUMPER STICKERS, BOTTLES OF WATER, LAPEL PINS, SOCCER STRESS BALLS, TEMPORARY TATTOOS, WATER BOTTLES, printed paper signs, and even large vinyl die-cut letters for the event producers to use on windows and buildings where the pop-up events took place.
You can see from the photos above, all three events were a huge success with the fans. It was a fun project and we look forward to working together in the future.
